We look for original (never before published) articles that contain “how to” tips, reviews and videos that reveal how eCommerce businesses can grow using different eCommerce marketing strategies.

Use this guidelines document as a template for writing your guest post for the OSI Affiliate Software blog.

Overall Guidelines

• - Please submit your own original work. Previously published content will be declined
• - The post topic will be about eCommerce marketing
• - Post is at least 2000 and no longer than 3000 words long
• - You use lots of images, preferably screenshots or graphics that support your main points
• - Observe any copyright or usage restrictions regarding images, obtain permission for use, and cite the source of your image
• - All images are loaded into the Word or Google document
• - All images have a maximum width of 700px
• - All links are inserted into the document
• - Links in a post are welcome, but must be non-promotional and relevant to the post. We do not allow affiliate links
• - Text, Headings and Subheadings follow the formatting already laid out in this document
• - A short Bio is included at the end of the post with no more than 2 external links

Headline

The headline is an integral component of any blog post - it’s why someone will bother to click on the post in the first place. When submitting your final draft to the OSI Affiliate team include 3 headline options.

Introduction

Your introduction needs to capture the reader’s attention.

The first few sentences should be punchy, short and to the point.

Use this opportunity to highlight a pain point of your reader and connect with them personally.

As I’m reading the introduction I want it to be clear as to why I should continue reading the post, and why I am going to want to share it with others.

There should be one overriding point that your post is trying to make (the ‘Ace’) - you will anchor the rest of the post to this point.

Body

The body of the post should achieve the following:

• - Anchors back to the ‘Ace’ you articulated in your introduction
• - Sentences are short and easy for the reader to digest
• - Sub-headings and dot points are used to break-up the text
• - It informs the reader, before promoting the author
• - Topics are not over-explained, the reader only gets the information they need
• - Helpful links are included where necessary (internal and external)
• - Relevant images, informative screenshots and graphics are included

Conclusion

• - Summarises the key points of the post
• - There is something clear the reader can put into action
• - The power of the ‘Ace’ is re-emphasized
